Alex and Family
A personal story behind Portimmo
Alex is the founder and manager of Portimmo. In 2014, together with his wife Orlane and their young son, he moved from Belgium to Portugal to start a new life on the Silver Coast.
Like many foreign buyers, Alex and his family first rented a home while searching for a property to call their own. During this period, Alex began working at a local Portuguese real estate agency to gain in-depth knowledge of the local property market, procedures and legislation in Portugal.
After six months, the family found their dream home and their Portuguese adventure truly began. Shortly after, their family grew with the arrival of their daughter, completing their life on the Silver Coast.
After two years of hands-on experience in the Portuguese real estate sector, learning the practical and legal aspects of property transactions, Alex decided to start his own real estate company: Portimmo.
Today, Portimmo has been active in the Portuguese real estate market for over 10 years, specialising in guiding foreign buyers in the purchase of property on the Silver Coast of Portugal. Over the years, Alex and his team have guided a wide range of international buyers, families and investors in finding their home or investment property in Portugal.
Alongside Alex, Orlane plays a key role within Portimmo. She is responsible for social media, marketing and brand communication, ensuring that Portimmo remains visible, accessible and informative for international clients.
In addition, Orlane is the founder of The Portimmo Design Studio, created to support clients with interior design, furnishing and styling of their property in Portugal. This service is particularly valuable for foreign buyers who want a turnkey solution or need professional guidance when furnishing a home from abroad.
Beyond property sales, Portimmo also offers project and construction follow-up through Portimmo Projects, assisting clients with new-builds, renovations and construction supervision in Portugal. This integrated approach allows clients to rely on one trusted partner from purchase to completion.
